Located in the centre of the delightful conservation village of Falkland next to the historic Falkland Place, Key House is just perfect for friends and families to spend time together. Dating back to 1713, Key House has been refurbished sensitively as befits its category B listed status. Originally called the Palace Inn, the marriage lintel above the front door bears the initials TM and KK - possibly those of the builder and his wife. It is also possible that the cottage was built from the stone from the palace and both the living room and kitchen/diner feature beamed ceilings made from wood from the ancient Forest of Falkland. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing break or an action-packed holiday Key House is the perfect location - comfortably furnished with plenty of room for up to 6 people. Relax in front of the log-burner in our cosy lounge after a day exploring the historic buildings, quaint alleys and charming gift-shops of Falkland. Fife is ideal for foodies with Michelin-starred restaurants complemented by award-winning fish and chip shops, as well as numerous farm shops and farmers markets showcasing the best produce the area has to offer. For days out Perth, Dundee and Edinburgh are all within easy reach with the railway station in nearby Ladybank offering regular links.
